Career Event at Penryn School |
||
|
We recently took part in a fantastic engagement event at Penryn School, where officers joined students to discuss future career opportunities. It was inspiring to see so many young people eager to learn more about the police service — not only as a career choice, but also as a vital part of the community that works every day to keep people safe.
Events like this play an important role in strengthening the relationship between the police and the communities we serve. By spending time with students in their own environment, we’re able to break down barriers, build trust, and have open conversations about the work we do. It also gives young people the chance to ask questions, challenge perceptions, and see the human side of policing.
Engagement with schools and young people helps us better understand their experiences and the issues that matter most to them. It’s an investment in the future — fostering mutual respect and encouraging young people to see the police as approachable, supportive partners who care deeply about their wellbeing and safety.
We’d like to thank Penryn School for their warm welcome and all the students who took part for their enthusiasm and curiosity. Together, we can continue building positive relationships that strengthen our community.
